Carpet Removal

Carpet Removal Across Central Coast, Newcastle and Lake Macquarie

Has your carpet or flooring already been lifted? RubbishGo collects removed carpet, underlay and loose flooring waste from homes, units, offices and renovation sites. Send photos of the pile and access. We will confirm what we can take, the price and an available pick-up time before the crew arrives.

RubbishGo collects flooring waste after it has been detached. The crew does not pull up carpet, scrape adhesive or strip fixed flooring.

Include your suburb, every flooring material in the load, and details about stairs, lifts, narrow access or parking limits.

How Carpet Waste Collection Works

A clear photo quote keeps the booking short and prevents confusion about fixed flooring, load size and access.

  1. Send photos and load details

Photograph the full pile and each material type. Include your suburb, preferred day, whether the carpet is dry or wet, and any stairs, lifts, narrow paths or parking limits.

  1. Confirm the quote and pick-up time

RubbishGo checks the load volume, likely weight, access, labour and disposal charges. The crew confirms what is included before the booking is locked in.

  1. Leave the detached flooring in the agreed area

The flooring must be off the floor. It can remain inside the property when inside collection is included in the quote. Keep the path to the truck clear.

  1. The crew lifts and loads the waste

The team collects the photographed materials from the agreed location and loads them into the truck. Tell the crew before loading if the pile has changed.

  1. The load goes to a suitable facility

Accepted material is taken to a licensed NSW waste or recycling facility. The destination depends on material, condition and facility rules.

How Much Does Carpet Removal and Disposal Cost?

Carpet waste is priced by truck volume and the work needed to load it. Clean, dry rolls are easier to assess than wet, loose or mixed flooring waste. Stairs, long carries, tight access, heavy rolls, disposal charges, after-hours work and multiple trips can change the quote.

Standard Carpet and Flooring Waste

From $120 per cubic metre. Suitable for smaller or standard loads of detached carpet, underlay and accepted loose flooring.

Larger Carpet Waste Loads

From $90 per cubic metre. The lower starting rate applies to qualifying larger loads.

Mixed Renovation Loads

Send photos for a job quote. Material type, weight, sorting needs, access and disposal fees affect the price.

Starting rates are a guide. RubbishGo confirms the quoted price before loading. A changed load or access condition should be priced before extra work starts.

Should You Book RubbishGo, Council Collection or a Skip Bin?

RubbishGo Pick-Up

A good fit when the carpet is already detached and you want a directly agreed time, a photo quote and crew loading from the quoted accessible area. Mixed accepted renovation waste can be added to the same enquiry.

Council Bulky Waste

May suit eligible household carpet that meets local booking, quantity, length and kerbside set-out rules. The resident handles lifting and set-out. Check the current rules for your council before placing carpet outside.

Skip Bin

May suit a longer renovation that produces waste over several days. Confirm that the supplier accepts carpet, ask about weight or material charges, and allow for loading the bin yourself.

Local council rules can change. Use the current Central Coast Council, City of Newcastle or Lake Macquarie City Council guidance before choosing a council collection.

Outside these areas? Send your suburb and load photos so the team can check the day’s route and booking options.

What Happens to Carpet Waste After Collection?

Carpet can contain fibre, backing, adhesive and underlay in one load. Its destination depends on material, condition, contamination and the receiving facility’s rules. Clean, separated material may go to a recycling route when a suitable facility accepts it. Material that cannot be recovered goes to an approved waste facility.

RubbishGo takes accepted flooring waste to licensed NSW waste or recycling facilities. The business cannot promise that every carpet or underlay load will be recycled.

Do not add asbestos, chemicals, liquids, medical waste or other regulated hazardous material to a standard carpet load. Stop work and seek licensed advice if old flooring or underlay may contain asbestos.
