Usable furniture and stock are not automatically waste. Items in suitable condition can be directed to reuse or donation where a receiving organisation accepts them. Cardboard, scrap metal, timber and eligible e-waste can be sent to suitable recovery facilities. Non-recoverable material goes to a lawful disposal facility.
The destination depends on material type, condition and the receiving facility’s rules at collection time. RubbishGo follows NSW EPA guidance and uses suitable recycling and disposal facilities.

Items That Need Separate Handling
Do not add asbestos, hazardous or chemical waste, medical or biohazardous material, or liquid waste to a standard RubbishGo load. Keep unknown containers, suspect insulation and contaminated material separate. NSW waste rules require material to be classified and taken to a facility that can lawfully receive it.
