What We Remove from Garages and Sheds
RubbishGo collects mixed household and storage items from garages, sheds, carports and workshops. List every item in the quote request because heavy, dense or restricted materials can change the price or collection route.

Boxes and Household Clutter
Cardboard boxes, tubs, toys, decorations, small household goods and general junk that has been set aside for removal. Personal documents, valuables and anything you want to keep must be removed from the collection area.

Furniture and Mattresses
Old lounges, chairs, tables, cabinets, shelving, bed frames and mattresses. Large pieces can be dismantled when this work is included in the quote.

Whitegoods and E-Waste
Fridges, freezers, washing machines, dryers, televisions, computers and small electrical items. Appliances must be empty and disconnected before collection.

Tools and Workshop Items
Workbenches, tool chests, loose tools, shelving and selected workshop equipment. Send photos, dimensions and known weights for heavy machinery so we can confirm whether the item is suitable.

Bikes, Outdoor and Sporting Gear
Bicycles, exercise equipment, camping gear, garden tools, outdoor furniture and other stored leisure items.

Metal, Timber and Renovation Leftovers
Scrap metal, empty shelving, timber offcuts and selected renovation debris. Dense materials such as bricks, concrete, tiles and soil need a separate price check.
How Garage and Shed Clean-Out Works
You do not need to carry unwanted items to the kerb. The crew can collect the agreed load from accessible areas of the garage, shed or workshop.
- Send photos and mark what stays
Photograph the full space, bulky items and the path to the truck. Include your suburb, preferred day, parking limits and access details. Move or label anything that must not be collected.
- Approve the quote and collection time
We assess the load volume, material type, weight, access and labour. The agreed price is confirmed before collection.
- We lift and load the agreed items
The crew removes the listed items from accessible areas. Dismantling is completed where it forms part of the quote.
- The load is sorted
Collected material is separated for suitable reuse, recycling or disposal routes where accepted.

How Much Does a Garage Clean Out Cost?
Garage clean out prices depend on the load and the work needed to remove it. Volume, material type, item weight, long carries, narrow access, limited parking, dismantling and disposal charges can change the quote. Photos usually give us enough detail to price a straightforward job.
Small or Standard Garage Load
From $120 per cubic metre. Suitable for boxes, small furniture and general household items.
Large-Volume Garage Load
From $90 per cubic metre. Suitable for a higher-volume clear-out with standard household rubbish.
Full Garage or Shed Clear-Out
From $250. Final pricing depends on the total volume, material type, access and labour.
Heavy or mixed construction waste may be priced by both volume and weight. Extra labour, restricted access, after-hours work or weekend bookings can change the quoted amount. Starting rates are a guide. We confirm the price before loading begins.

What Happens to Garage and Shed Rubbish?
Usable goods are not automatically treated as waste. Where condition and facility rules allow, an item may be directed to reuse or donation. Metal, e-waste, cardboard, green waste and suitable timber are sent to material-specific facilities where accepted. The remaining rubbish goes to an approved disposal facility.
The destination depends on the condition, material and receiving facility rules at the time of collection. RubbishGo follows NSW EPA guidance and uses approved recycling and disposal facilities.
Paint, chemicals, oils, fuels, batteries, gas bottles and other household problem waste have separate drop-off rules and cannot be placed in a standard RubbishGo load. We cannot promise that every collected item will be donated or recycled.

Garage and Shed Clean-Out FAQs
Do you clear garages, sheds or both?
Yes. RubbishGo clears residential garages, garden sheds, carports, workshops and storage areas. Send photos first so we can confirm access and the items to be collected.
Do I need to sort everything before the crew arrives?
You must remove or label anything you want to keep, along with personal documents, valuables and restricted waste. The crew can separate the collected material into suitable waste streams after the removal list is agreed.
Do I need to move the rubbish outside?
No. The crew can collect agreed items from accessible areas inside the garage, shed or workshop. Tell us about stairs, narrow paths, low clearances, locked gates and parking limits before booking.
Can you collect one bulky item or a few boxes?
Yes. Small jobs and single-item collections can be booked, subject to the minimum job price and route availability.
Can you remove heavy tools or machinery?
Some heavy workshop items can be collected. Send photos, dimensions, the make and model, and any known weight. Fuel, oil, batteries and gas bottles must be removed. Some machinery needs a specialist carrier.
Is same-day garage clean out available?
Same-day or next-day collection may be available. Send photos early and we will confirm the nearest open time for your suburb and load.
Does the service include deep cleaning?
The standard job includes rubbish collection. It does not include pressure washing, degreasing, mould treatment, pest control or repairs unless this work is quoted separately.
What cannot go in a standard garage load?
Do not include asbestos, chemicals, paint, oils, fuels, gas cylinders, medical waste, contaminated material, biohazardous waste or liquids. Keep these items separate and contact us before booking.
How is the price worked out?
The quote considers load volume, material type, weight, access, dismantling, labour and disposal charges. The price is confirmed before loading begins.
Should I use a council collection or skip bin instead?
Council collection can suit eligible household items when its dates, limits and kerbside rules fit your job. A skip bin can suit a self-loaded project. RubbishGo suits jobs that need lifting from the garage, an agreed collection time and mixed item planning.
